Suzanne Bonsall, age 87, of Elkton, MD, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on April 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Barbara Porter.
Mrs. Bonsall had been a waitress at Colonel’s Choice, Aberdeen, MD, and was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #128 in Aberdeen. She loved being around her boys and her faithful canine companion, Foxy. She enjoyed playing bingo, card games, doing crafts, and solving word search puzzles.
Survivors include her sons, Raymond L. Bonsall, Jr. (Linda), Daniel R. Bonsall, Sr. (Grace), Gerald A. Bonsall (Brenda), all of Elkton, MD, John B. Bonsall (Karen), Shenandoah, VA, David E. Bonsall (Diane), Elkton, MD, and Richard S. Bonsall (Stacy), Aberdeen, MD; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bonsall was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Bonsall, Sr.; and siblings, John Porter and Mary Cummings.
Funeral service will be held 4 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Singerly Fire Company, in care of the funeral home at the above address.
